Pilates is a training system developed in the early twentieth century by Joseph Pilates.
It is a program of free-body exercises performed on a mat, sometimes with the help of small tools or with the support of large machines, which focuses on postural muscles, that is, those muscles that help keep the body balanced and are essential for providing support to the spine.
The key points are toning and strengthening the Power House, that is, all the muscles connected to the trunk: the abdomen, glutes, pelvic floor, adductors, and lumbar region, paying particular attention to breathing, spinal alignment, and stretching.
Its creator's goal was to make people more aware of themselves, their bodies, and their minds, uniting them into a single, dynamic, and functional entity.

Erica Rampone
Erica began her journey in classical dance at a very young age, starting her studies in 1998 at Pro Arte Danza and continuing consistently within the school. In 2012, she approached teaching alongside the director of Pro Arte Dance Theater, continuing to participate in lessons and collaborating as a dancer in the school's productions. Between 2015 and 2017, she worked as a classical dance teacher in the academic courses of Contemporary Dance Theater and Centro Danza Futura. Since 2017, she has collaborated permanently with Orsolina28.
After years of studying classical dance, Erica dedicated herself to the study of Pilates Matwork, following the Nineteen Hundred Pilates and Dance method, and obtained the Gravity Foundation Instructor and Gravity Pilates Reformat Evolved Instructor certifications.
